As National Small Business Week 2010 comes to a close, we wanted to ask our fellow small business owners:  How is social media working for you?  Have you jumped into with both feet or are you still sitting on the side of the pool with your feet in, waiting to see if the water is right to swim into?  For many of our clients at JSN, social media isn’t something to just be a part of, it’s having a sound strategy and goal behind your efforts.  We truly value the time spent with each client to create a customized strategy to reach important milestones in their social media efforts.

In Charlotte Cuthberson’s recent article in the Epoch Times, she talked about the “Big Four” social media tools needed for success.

Facebook:  “If Facebook were a country, it would be the third most populated in the world; the site has hit 400 million active users.”

Blogging:  ”A simple blog doesn’t mean you have to write all the content yourself. You can aggregate content and link it back to the source.  Blogging helps you establish yourself as an expert and provide information to your community. “

Twitter:  ”A communication platform that shrinks the emotional distance between your company and your customers.”

LinkedIn:  “Linking together all the social media tools you use is an efficient way to cross-update everything”

While social media is changing literally on a daily basis, effectively utilizing these tools will help you stay close to the changing trends in social media.  To read this full article on the Epoch Times, visit this link:  http://www.theepochtimes.com/n2/content/view/36216/
